“The Jaguar and I”

This is the latest piece of my new 2021-2022 Thesis, “Animals as Reflections”. I chose to dive into this subject matter because I’m fascinated by archetypes and really find great comfort in learning about animal totems and Ancient Archetypes of past. This piece is currently in my hometown of Union, New Jersey. “The Jaguar and I” illustrates the initiation of connection with a deeper aspect, of ourselves. The Dark Feminine, or on another level, Pachamama, all that is.

Quote:

"The time of the Black Jaguar speaks to the times of change that we are now living in. According to indigenous people, human beings can choose between the path of competition and that of cooperation. The healing of the earth is intrinsically linked with the healing of humanity, and will only become possible as we return to cooperation with all of life. To do this, we first need to return to ourselves, remembering our original consciousness, our inherent wisdom. Indigenous people believe that we humans have all the necessary talents to be the caretakers of Mother Earth.”
